Glen Abbey Italian Bakery began with a simple dream and a deep love for baking. In the 1970s, our founder, Francesco Leone Sr., immigrated to Canada with the vision of one day opening his own bakery in the heart of Ontario. He spent years working in local bakeries, learning the craft, understanding the food industry, and perfecting the flavourful recipes that would become the cornerstone of our family business.
That dream became a reality in 1984, when Glen Abbey Italian Bakery first opened its doors. Today—over four decades later—Francesco’s passion lives on through the hands and hearts of the Leone family. We continue to bake fresh, delicious bread with the same care, tradition, and patience that started it all.
